Management and the Board of Directors at Mountain Credit Union (MCU) have announced the recent promotion of Cody Rodgers as the Branch Manager in Franklin, NC, effective in December of 2021.

Cody Rodgers has been with MCU since 2015. Cody started as a part-time Member Service Representative and after going full-time, became Account Products Specialist, Loan Processor and then Assistant Branch Manager in Sylva, NC. He received his Bachelors Degree in Biology / Pre-Med from Western Carolina University in 2017 while also working at MCU.

“Cody has been engaged in leadership development and will continue his growth through ongoing professional development,” said HR Director Chuck Reece. “He has taken on additional responsibilities as his career has progressed with Mountain Credit Union and we are confident that he will have success moving forward as Branch Manager.”

Another promotion involves a new position that has been filled with a veteran employee. Chris Angel recently accepted the promotion to Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. A Haywood County native, Chris recently received his Associates in Arts - Liberal Studies from Leeward Community College and is currently working toward his Bachelors in Business Administration/Marketing at UNC-Pembroke. He holds several positions in leadership, plus many designations and certifications within the Credit Union industry. Chris began his MCU career in 2002 as a Loan Officer, then became Branch Manager in Fletcher, NC in 2005. He held the title of Business Development Director for nine years before this new role.
