Be on the lookout for email scams! Mountain Credit Union will
never email you asking you to click a link to verify your account
information. You should never respond to emails with any personal
information and you should delete the emails immediately. To access
your MCU Account, ALWAYS begin at our homepage www.mountaincu.org.
The Federal Trade Commission has several suggestions on their
website www.ftc.gov/spam
on how to limit SPAM emails and what to do when you receive them.
Make sure you never email personal account information to anyone. This includes but is not limited
to Name, Address, Account Number, Financial Institution Names, phone numbers, SSN's, etc.
When you can, elect to view your bank statements, utility bills,
CC Statements, etc., online rather than having a paper statement
mailed to you. This helps prevent the confidential information
on the statement from being lost or stolen.
Check out the Federal Trade Commission's website for information
on preventing Identity Theft and what to do if you think you have
been a victim.

you load the necessary updates or enable the auto-update feature on the software. These protect you from
