Join Mountain Credit Union

Membership in Mountain Credit Union is open to the communities of Buncombe County, Haywood County, Henderson County, Jackson County, Macon County and Swain County. All federal employees located in the 20 western counties of North Carolina (Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Cherokee, Caldwell, Clay, Cleveland, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, McDowell, Macon, Madison, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, and Yancey). This includes field personnel who are paid from a headquarters office located in the above counties. Our membership also includes anyone who is employed by a member of one of our select employee groups (listed below).Also, anyone who works or lives on the Cherokee Indian Reservation is eligible to join Mountain Credit Union.

How to Join

Membership in the Credit Union may be obtained by submitting a simple application form along with a minimum deposit of $25.00. The applications for membership are available at each Credit Union office, some employer locations, and by clicking on one of the links below.
